  • Biography

Andrey Puretskiy earned his bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude in Computer Science in 2004, his MS in Computer Science in 2006, and his PhD in Computer Science in 2010, all from the University of Tennessee. His MS Thesis research involved bio-inspired computing (complex systems and self-organization), and his dissertation research involved Data Analytics, Datamining, and Visualization. In 2010, Puretskiy joined CDE Dosimetry Services, Inc. as a full-time Research Associate, where he contributed to their research in radiopharmaceuticals, internal dosimetry, and image analysis. In 2012, Puretskiy joined the faculty of Pellissippi State Community College, where he taught a variety of computing and computer science courses for ten years. In 2022, Puretskiy joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee and is teaching Engineering Fundamentals courses, focusing on computing for engineering applications. In the course of his research, Puretskiy has authored or co-authored multiple papers and a book chapter.
