Biography
Associate Professor with tenure in the Materials Science and Engineering Department (MSE) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Kevin Kit received his BS in materials engineering from Virginia Tech in 1990 and his MS and PhD in materials science and engineering from the University of Delaware in 1993 and 1997, respectively. His areas of expertise include processing-structure-property relationships of polymers, natural fiber composite materials, and electrospun fibers and fabrics. Kit taught courses at all levels in the MSE department from 1996–2012. He has taught the honors Physics for Engineers course sequence (EF 157–EF 158) since 2012 and has been director of the Cook Grand Challenge Honors Program since 2015. He also serves as the Director of International Initiatives for the Tickle College of Engineering.
